Vision

By providing good training and nurturing talent, we aim to give young Indonesians the opportunity to take a solid first step into the professional world. We want to educate innovative, indispensable staff in the hospitality management field, which is equipped with the necessary know-how to be integrated into and benefit from the thriving tourism of Lombok.

Binding employment under appropriate working conditions provides social security and reduces poverty. It strengthens self-confidence, individual resilience and coexistence among individuals, and can help entire communities to flourish.

We are convinced that offering comprehensive training will bring a boost in the development of Lombok's social inequality. SABA Social recognizes the current needs and meets them with the Hospitality and Property Management Training.

Saba Social

SABA Social is a locally registered organisation (NGO) in Indonesia, which aims to give young local people a solid start into the professional world. Hotel professionals, service staff, gardeners and mechanics will be trained to the highest possible standard and thus will have a chance of working in Lombok, Bali or Jakarta.

The bungalow resort and restaurant in combination with the operator concept of the villas enables us to be financially self-sustainable in the long term and to offer training and jobs for locals. 100% of the profit flows back into the training program.

Curriculum

SABA Social pursues a dual-educational approach that promotes academic knowledge and vocational skills. The curriculum is diverse, wide-ranging and tailored to the needs of the Indonesian hospitality industry and future students of the training.

We ensure that students are trained in both theory-based education and practical working methods. Teaching techniques include classroom training as well as cooking exercises, market visits and teamwork/group discussions.

TheorY-/TRAINING ROOMS

The facilities, which we will build for the theoretical training on our property, are specially designed for training in the gastronomy sector. Multifunctional rooms are also to be set up for general training courses and seminars, as well as offices. Locations for children and family members of employees/students also have a high importance to us, e.g. a day care center and a playground.
